The low level bus control statements allow you to access the status and control registers in both the IEEE-488 driver and in the IEEE-488 controller hardware. The CONTROL and STATUS statements access the IEEE-488 driver registers while the READIO and WRITEIO statements access the controller hardware registers. The definitions of these registers are given near the end of this section.
