Gentlemen,
Is this product on the legacy pages still supported for configuration errors? We are trying to upgrade a very old and complicated test stand to a PC based system and are attempting to use the EZ-Transfer V1.13 software to convert the files. When we purchased and used this in the early 2000s, we used a windows 98 machine that no longer exists. Just for testing, I have setup two different machines; the first is a clean install of Win98SE running HTB V8.3 and the other is a clean install of Win11 running HTB 2021.17. The install section where the programs create their own files from the 3.5” disk and setup the default “C:\EZ_XFER” directories work fine on both systems. No errors doing the installs. When “EZ_RCV” is executed under HTBasic there is an unexpected error “ERROR 18 IN 9120 String Overflow or Sub-string error” that happens on both machines. It seems I am doing the same thing wrong on two completely different platforms? Oddly enough, we had no trouble with the HP side with EZ_SEND; it seems to be working fine on our very old HP system. Any suggestions or direction to resolve would be appreciated!
King regards, Ralph
