Version 10.1 is the latest version to run on Windows XP. You can download a trial version to try out before purchasing.
Another user had a similar problem involving GPIB cards that was resolved by updating their Keysight libraries.
The manual can also be accessed from within HTBasic by clicking HELP on the main menu.
Note that a Trial version of HTBasic can be downloaded at: https://transera.com/downloads/
This is the best way to try out basic syntax. HTBasic also includes an extensive list of Sample Programs.
Note also that you can press F1 when the edit cursor is on a Keyword to automatically look it up in the HELP manual.A PDF version of the manual can be downloaded here: https://transera.com/downloads/
An online version of the manual can be viewed here: https://transera.com/help/Hi Craig,
The .Net files previously required to be downloaded to install HTBasic are now included in the current installer packages. So, you could try downloading and installing the current Trial version here: https://transera.com/downloads/ (note you will have to login first). Then try installing your 10.0 version.
Let me know if this works.

HTBFileopen DLL problem solved!
One of the recent changes made to HTBasic 2021 was changing the name of the executable from HTBwin.exe to HTBasic.exe (to make it more obviously the main executable). However, it turns out that some of the DLLs in the library, including HTBFileopen.dll, reference HTBwin.exe.
So, a new release will be issued next week that changes the installation name back to HTBwin.exe. But as a temporary workaround, you can verify that renaming HTBasic.exe in the install folder back to HTBwin.exe fixes this problem. Obviously, it was not anticipated that simply changing the name of the main executable could have this affect, but at least it’s a simple fix.
